Dr Frances Giampapa

Dr Frances Giampapa is an Associate Professor at the at the School of Education, University of Bristol. She brings a strong research profile driven by critical ethnographic and creative approaches to researching the reproduction of linguistic and social inequalities in schools.

Frances has a long-standing working relationship with LA nurseries in Bristol and beyond. She is a member of the Bristol & Bath ECHO branch of Early Education which champions equitable early childhood education.

Frances was awarded a University Enterprise Fellow (2023/24) to advance their work on the Researchful Practice Toolkit.

Dr Victoria Bowen

Victoria brings over 30 years of experience in education, beginning her teaching career in 1992 and holding various leadership roles across the UK. Most recently, she served as head teacher at a diverse inner-city primary school in Bristol, where she championed inclusive practices and community engagement.

In 2019, Victoria transitioned to academia, focusing her research on the effects of COVID-19 on secondary schools.

Dr Claire Lee

Dr Claire Lee is an early career research fellow in the Department of Psychology, Health and Professional Development at Oxford Brookes University. Her research is committed to creating spaces for dialogue with children and using arts-based and multimodal methods to explore the things that matter to them.

She was the research assistant on the Researchful Practice Toolkit from 2021 to 2023. She is currently a research collaborator and critical friend on the toolkit.
